Creativity World Forum 2010 – AWE STRUCK

Creativity World Forum 2010

AWE STRUCK is my description of the Creativity World Forum 2010 – http://stateofcreativity.com/ (twitter hashtag #CWF2010).

The Creativity World Forum 2010 (CWF2010), a conference focusing on creativity, was held in Oklahoma City, OK this week.  Sir Ken Robinson (a leader in the development of creativity and innovation) named Oklahoma “The State of Creativity”.

The CWF2010 started with energy as Native American dances were performed and members of the audience were spellbound as astronaut John Harrington appeared on stage in this NewsOK video.  Audience members tweeted using Twitter that it felt like they were at the Olympics. Pictures, video and blog posts created by Wesley Fryer about the CWF2010 can be viewed at  http://www.speedofcreativity.org/ or posts tagged at http://technorati.com/tag/cwf2010 .

One of my favorite speakers was Pranav Mistry and his demonstration of EXCITING new technology. One of the technologies he developed is ‘SixthSense’ which is a wearable gestural interface that augments the physical world around us with digital information and lets us use natural hand gestures to interact with that information. You can view a demonstration of  ‘Sixth Sense’ at http://www.pranavmistry.com/projects/sixthsense/#VIDEOS .

A list of speakers at the CWF2010 is online at http://stateofcreativity.com/events/cwf/

Great speakers and breakout sessions about creativity, technology and innovation abounded at the Creativity World Forum 2010 (CWF2010).
